The original Gallery timber floor system required replacement and the new system needed to accommodate extreme weights & point loads. The engineered LVL joist sub-floor was cladded with multiple layers of structural plywood to provide the required construction integrity.
Shoreline installed almost 2,000m2 of Southern Bluegum T & G flooring, laid in the distinct & precise pattern. The system was finished with matt sheen water based polyurethane finisher, which allows the natural beauty of the timber to be the dominant feature.
It was a privilege for Shoreline to work within one of the most revered buildings in Australia and we are very proud of the final outcome.
